This morning, Nollywood woke up to the shocking news of the sudden demise of one of their own, Ray Daniel. It started as just a rumor yesterday’s evening but have been confirmed this morning.
The actor was said to have been on the set of a new movie and during filming, he begged to be allowed a day off. He promised to be back on set the next day. But the next day, they had to stop shoot as the actor called to inform the producer that he was, in fact, in the hospital and that he would be back on set in a few days.
A few days later, he called the director of the same movie and informed the director that he was fine and asked the director to come and discharge him from the hospital.
His colleagues rejoiced when they heard the good news as they start making preparations to go back to location. However, when the director and some of his colleagues got to the hospital they were told he had been transferred to another hospital. They rushed to the new hospital and on getting there, they were shocked to see the once lively actor hooked to oxygen. Upon inquiring, they were told he had kidney failure due to serious alcohol consumption.
Since then, it was a battle to save his life, but sadly he gave up the ghost yesterday.
